The third edition of the art competition “We care for our city – we fight against smog” came to an end. The Gala of the Awards Ceremony took place on December 13th. We were honoured by many guests, among them the laureates and the students awarded in the contest who visited us on this day and their caretakers. The guests of honour were: Mrs Anna Prokop-Staszecka, a director of the John Paul II Specialist Hospital in Krakow, a councilor of the City of Krakow and a chairman of the jury professor Piotr Jargusz – an artist – painter and graphic artist, who in their speeches pointed out how important and topical the subject of the competition was, but above all how talented are the students whose works were awarded. The gala was hosted by Mrs Małgorzata Bzowska, a member of the jury and co-author of the competition who congratulated all participants on their great creativity.
The ceremony was graced by the performances of our students.
The theatre group presented the performance entitled “Dragon versus Smog”. The screenplay was written by the students from the seventh grade: Natalia and Julia Wolff , Maja Trembecka and Klaudia Michna. In the cast we saw students from classes 5a, 7a and 3GB. The performance was prepared under the watchful eye of Mrs Agnieszka Korczak.
The school choir conducted by Ms Karolina Stasiowska beautifully topped up the show by singing the “Earth Song” by Michael Jackson.
We would like to thank all participants of this contest. Once again, we would like to congratulate all awarded students and invite everyone to take part in the next, fourth edition.
