How to calculate the amount of energy required to melt the ice or thin focal lenses, what are the defects of the lenses? – these were just some of the issues raised by our school students during their classes on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 at the Institute of Physics of the Jagiellonian University.During these workshops secondary school students learned the major laws of physics in well-equipped laboratories of the university. Their scientific goal was to perform several tasks and tests and then to record their observations and conclusions on specially prepared research cards.Practical classes were a great opportunity to systematize issues learned during lessons at school, as well as a review of material for the third graders who are getting ready for their final exams.
