We And Our Independence – Workshops
Another scientific workshops went down to history. This time they were very special, because of celebrated this year the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland. We referred to this anniversary in a creative way. Those who expected various activities such as military drill, singing songs and history lessons, were not left disappointed. With the use of interesting form and various methods a historical content was provided by our teachers. Among many, we managed to prepare great streamers symbolizing the historical battles of Poles. One could shed a tear listening to wishes made by our students to the Polish Republic. Secondary school students along with Years 7-8 of primary school could refer in a very personal way to the concept of patriotism by taking part in the evening debate.
This time, accompanied by dancing national dances and singing songs, especially the patriotic ones, a bonfire was a traditionall must. We and our independence are not clichés. After these workshops, we can state with no doubt that patriotic slogans and attitudes are eternally alive and important; they acquire deeper meanings and new content.
