On November 22, Year 7 students took part in cryogenic demonstrations held at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University. Launched by professor Karol Olszewski, from the very beginning these shows were not only a compulsory element of classes for students of chemistry at the Jagiellonian University, but they also attracted dwellers’ of Krakow interest. During the meeting the students listened to a brief lecture on a history of liquefying gases and cryogenics applications, and then unusual properties of liquefied gases and substances at low temperatures were presented.
