On Day 1 of the trip the participants visited the Pan Tadeusz Museum and the Museum of Art – Panorama of the Battle of Racławice, where they could admire the painting – the Battle of Raclawice which, thanks to special painterly and art techniques, took viewers into “another reality” and “another world.” Those who expected intensive and rich in attractions programme couldn’t feel disappointed. Participation in a lesson at the Water Knowledge Centre – Hydropolis, a visit to the Centennial Hall and to the zoo kept everyone busy.
The next day at the Wrocław Comedy Theatre the students learnt, in a humorous way, the history of the murder at Haversh manor depicted in the play “Nothing Works”. Undoubtedly this play provided them with the samples of English sense of humour as its best.
The last day we went sightseeing – they visited the Old Town and the National Gallery.
The trip can be considered a great success, and like one of Year 3 students pointed out: “We spent three busy days in Wroclaw and we learnt a lot.”
