Handing out “Silver 2s” and congratulations letters, occasional speeches and conferment of prestigious “Nobel” School Prizes, these were crucial parts of the official end of the 2018/2019 school year ceremony.
The ceremony was opened by performances prepared by this year’s graduates: Year 8 primary school and Year 3 middle school students.
The Managing Director Krystyna Majak thanked both – the teachers and the students for their yearlong work confirmed by the results of the middle school final exams and a great number of winners in various: international, nationwide, provincial and local competitions as well.
In recognition of their selfless and community – minded help related to the school and “A New School” foundation, three parents were honoured by the Managing Director Mrs Krystyna Majak, with the “Silver 2”: Mrs Zyta Widowska, Mrs Urszula Wojtanowska and Mr Daniec. This award was also received by Julia Dudek, class 3GB student as a prize for her outstanding academic performance and great commitment to school work.
And last but not least, long-awaited by the students moment came. It was handing out the “Silver 2s” for those who fullfilled two conditions – obtained an average score above 5.0 and achieved either excellent or very good behaviour. Among those who were awarded there were 58 primary and middle school students. And last but not least part of the event was conferment of the prestigious School Nobel Prizes in the following categories: Junior English Philologist, Junior English Philologist, Little Scientist, German Philologist, Historian, IT Specialist, Literature, Mathematician, Musician, Artist, Naturalist, Spanish Philologist, Sportsperson and Personality. As always, this moment aroused many emotions. There were also moments of surprise and tears of joy.We would like to thank the parents and the students for the 2018/2019 school year, and wish all of us safe and joyful holidays.
